Due to a scheduling conflict, there will not be a Ruby’s Pantry grocery distribution in May. The next distribution will be in June.

Prevent/Reverse Diabesity with Janice Novak

Janice Novak will teach a diabesity reverse or prevention class from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, in a Zoom meeting. Diabesity is a condition in which too much belly fat leads a person to symptoms ranging from mild blood sugar imbalance to full-blown diabetes. Social Media Marketing with Nickie Welsh

Social Club Simple Instructor Nickie Welsh will teach a social media marketing for businesses class from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, in a Zoom meeting. Students will leave the class with action items they can easily implement themselves to see results for their business or role within their company and organization, and benefit from having a plan for the rest of their 2025 year and know how to be effective with their time on social media for maximum results for gaining new clients or customers. The Monthly Community Coffee Party will be from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 10 at the East Chain United Methodist Church. The menu includes rolls, donuts, coffee, tea and juice. Mother’s Day brunch at MLHS

There will be a Mother’s Day Brunch from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, at Martin Luther High School in Northrop, sponsored by the Europe Group. The menu includes assorted egg bakes, fruit salad, donuts by Kiehl’s Bakery and beverages. A free-will donation is appreciated.

Canva with Nickie Welsh

Social Club Simple Instructor Nickie Welsh will teach a Canva class for beginners from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, in a Zoom meeting. Students will learn to create stunning designs from scratch or use templates with step-by-step guidance for any digital image you need.
