Fairmont Home Show this weekend

The 2025 Fairmont Home Show will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 13 at the Martin County Arena in Fairmont. Visitors will find hundreds of booths full of industry experts who will showcase their services, and can enjoy a variety of delicious bites and dishes from the area with local food trucks.

Murder Mystery at the Red Rock

The Red Rock Center for the Arts in Fairmont will have the 14th annual Murder Mystery Dinner Fundraiser and Silent Auction from 5 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, April 11 and Saturday, April 12 at the building. The play is written and directed by Paul Warschauer. The cast includes Elvira Houska, Alan Fisher, Dan Gockowski, Lee Kanten, Jeanie Kanten, Haakon Johnson and Vanessa Schultze.

East Chain benefit breakfast Saturday

A Benefit Breakfast for the Oakwood Cemetery maintenance fund will be held at the Monthly Community Coffee Party from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, at the East Chain United Methodist Church. The free-will offering will go to Oakwood.

Grade 3 and 4 Robotics Competition

Elementary students from across Martin County will team up for an energetic robotics competition for the Martin County KnowHow VEX IQ Robotics Competition for children in grades 3 and 4, from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 12 in the Five Lakes Gym at Fairmont Elementary School. These students will have spent several weeks building and learning how to operate their VEX IQ robots, and are ready to put their hard work to the test at this exciting STEM event. Spectators of all ages are welcome to witness this fun application of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics in our community. Limited concessions will be available to purchase at this event, such as donuts, juice, water, and pop.

Easter celebrations at Temperance Lake Ridge

Temperance Lake Ridge Senior Living will have an easter egg hunt for both residents and the public at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 12. Come meet the Easter Bunny for a cute photoshoot, and enter your name in a drawing for a chance to win one of five prize Easter baskets filled with goodies. For Assisted Living residents, the event will take place in the front of the building in marked designated areas outside. Parking will be available in the front of the building. For Memory Care residents, the event will be held in the Memory Care Wellness Center. Parking and entry will be available in the back parking lot next to the Memory Care Wellness Center side door for easier access. The deadline to RSVP is April 11.
