Musical lunch at Red Rock

Join Bill Busse, Joyce Schultz, and Ann Wehner for a musical lunch program on Tuesday, April 8, at the Red Rock Center for the Arts in Fairmont. They will sing about April love, April showers, and Easter Parade. The event is free. The public is invited to attend and may bring a sack lunch. Coffee and bars will be available. Kiwanis to meet Wednesday

Early Risers Kiwanis of Fairmont will gather for their weekly breakfast at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. A meeting at 6:50 a.m. will follow. The speaker at the meeting will be Minilik Mersha of the Hometown Place. Kiwanis is excited to learn from Minilik about his vision for the remodeled Bell Motel and his company. The public is invited to attend.

April Activity Fun for Disabled Adults

April Activities for disabled adults will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 11, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. There is no cost to attend, and registration is not required. For additional information, contact the Martin County Library in Fairmont at (507) 238-4207.

Eagles Club for Friday karaoke

Fairmont Eagles Aerie 3394 will have karaoke at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 11, at the Eagles Club building. Karaoke hosts vary per week. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. For additional information, visit the official Fairmont Eagles Club Facebook page.

Free testers at Recovery in Motion

Recovery in Motion in Fairmont will offer free-of-charge lifesaving Narcan nasal spray and fentanyl test strips to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, April 11, at 1100 Indus Street in Fairmont. Without the test strips, visitors can learn more about Recovery in Motion and its mission.

Hope Cafe at SJV

A free meal will be served at 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, at St. John Vianney Church in Fairmont. If unable to attend, please call (507) 235-2451 by noon on Friday, April 11, to have a meal delivered.

Mudras with Janice Novak

Janice Novak will teach a mudras class from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, in a Zoom meeting. Mudras, or ‘yoga of the hands,’ has been recognized for centuries as a simple yet effective healing tool. In ancient India, mudras were believed to be the key to spiritual, mental and physical wellbeing and that regular practice of the hand positions can rejuvenate body and mind. Mudras can be used to relieve anxiety, stress, digestive issues, weight loss, bloating, insomnia, and so many more.
