Museum welcomes guest speaker
The Pioneer Museum in Fairmont will present Herb Reckinger to speak at 2 and 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6. His presentation will include a PowerPoint about the Wall of Faces, including human interest stories relating to service members, including some Martin County service members, on the wall. There is no fee to attend and pre-registration is not required. The community is encouraged to attend.
Novak to help remove bloating
CER invites Janice Novak to instruct a webinar about removing belly bloating from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12 in a Zoom meeting. Getting rid of a potbelly is much more than just doing abdominal exercises. In this workshop, participants will learn the main causes and six strategies for eliminating belly bloat. The class will do a few exercises designed to strengthen the deepest layer of abdominal muscles the layer responsible for flattening the stomach, shaping the waistline, and supporting the lower back. Exercises will not be on the floor. Registration is required, costs $29, and closes on Nov. 8.
Kiwanis to meet for Wednesday meeting
Fairmont Early Risers Kiwanis will meet for breakfast at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6 at The Ranch Restaurant in Fairmont. A 6:50 a.m. meeting with featured speaker Jerry Brooks will follow. Brooks is a mathematics and ‘Intro to Flight’ instructor at Fairmont High School. The community is invited to attend.
Huntley Church to host November dinner
The Community Covenant Church in Huntley, Minn will serve a community meal on from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6. The menu includes, tacos, nachos, potato oles and pumpkin dessert. A free-will donation will cover the cost of the meal.
