Novak to cover hormones, weight management

CER invites Janice Novak to teach women about weight and hormones in her new webinar class from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, in a Zoom meeting. This class targets those who notice a considerable inability to lose weight. Hormones may have a role in weight management. The class will discuss which hormones are involved, and what can be done to correct imbalances; concrete solutions for controlling appetite and cravings; major sources of hormone-mimicking chemicals; and how to get rid of them; what HRT or birth control pills have to do with weight gain; how to have hormone levels checked reliably; what steps need to be taken to break the vicious cycle of hormone-related weight gain safely. Registration is required, costs $29 per participant, and closes Nov. 2.

Fall lunch at Immanuel Lutheran

A Fall Festival Luncheon and Bake Sale will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 2 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairmont. The menu includes chicken, stuffing squares, cranberry relish, glazed carrots, dinner rolls, assorted pies, and coffee (including bake sale items, excluded from the main course cost). The meal costs $10 total, served to guests or those who order takeout. The event is sponsored by the Women of Immanuel-LWML. Everyone is welcome.
