Mission League to have Fall Rally

The Blue Earth Zone Lutheran Women’s Missionary League Fall Rally will be on Sunday, Oct.  6 at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Winnebago.  Registration will begin at 1 p.m., and the meeting starts at 1:30 p.m. Reverend James Kroonblawd from Eagan will be speaking at the event regarding abortion. Gifts from the Heart are being collected for the Options Pregnancy Center in Fairmont.

Sportman’s Club to hold final shoot of the year

The East Chain Sportman’s Club will hold it’s final Meat Shoot of 2024 beginning at noon on Sunday, Oct. 6, at the club grounds on 254th Avenue, half a mile north of East Chain. All shooters are welcome to attend, and participants will be shooting for meat prizes. The grill will be on all-day for meals. For additional information, contact Moby Whitman at (507) 236-4189.
