Annual Homecoming Feed coming to FHS
Partners in Education will host its annual Homecoming Feed for Fairmont Junior Senior High School from 5-7 pm, Friday, Sept. 20, at the Fairmont Mahoney Field. Food served includes brats, hot dogs, vegan plant-based hot dogs, chips, sauerkraut, cookies, and water. Should the weather be uncooperative, the event will be transitioned into the high school Commons. Attendants donating $6 are encouraged to fund Partners in Education. Library building Lego Club for children
The Martin County Library in Fairmont will have a Lego Club event at 5 pm, Monday, Sept. 23, available to children in grades Kindergarten-6th Grade. Children who are interested in participating are encouraged to bring a friend. Lego pieces will be provided, and attending children are not required to bring their own Legos. Library showcasing comedy film
The Martin County Library in Fairmont hosts another ‘Classic Movie Monday’ for families to attend. The library will be playing 1968 ‘Never A Dull Moment’, a comedy-family film starring Dick Van Dyke, at 1 pm, Monday, Sept. 23. Popcorn and water for guests will be provided by the library. Truman funding for post-prom party with sandwiches
Truman High School’s After Prom Party Sub Sandwich is in full swing, garnering orders through Oct. 4. Sandwiches are $6 for a single sandwich, or $55 for 10 sandwiches. Sandwiches are made on foot-long poor-boy buns (from Schmidt’s Bakery) and include ham, turkey, and white and yellow American cheese. To place sandwich orders, contact a Truman High School student who is a senior, junior, or sophomore involved with the fundraising event. Additionally, customers may contact Zanna Still at (507) 384-8471 with details of the desired order. Orders may be collected from the school’s cafeteria at 3:30-6 pm on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
