Class of 1960 to lunch

Fairmont High School class of 1960, spouses and friends will meet for lunch 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, at the Pizza Ranch in Fairmont. All classmates are encouraged to attend.

Historical Society to have annual meeting/dinner

The public is invited to attend the Martin County Historical Society annual meeting and dinner beginning 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at the Best Western, 1201 Torgerson Drive in Fairmont. Tickets for the dinner are $25 per person. Call (507) 235-5178 to reserve your spot by Wednesday, Sept. 4. The program will be presented by Martin County native, Trae Vassallo, the daughter of Dr. Roger and Beth Neist of Fairmont. Trae is a 1990 graduate of Fairmont High School and a graduate of Stanford University and is presently in WW Operations of Apple. She strives to empower women in technology and has coauthored studies that highlight the experiences of women in technology and holds 13 patents over a broad segment of technologies and disciplines.
