Church plans free meal on Wednesday

First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fairmont will offer a free community meal beginning 5:30 p.m. until the food is gone on Wednesday, Aug. 28, at their church located at 319 Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. This is sponsored by Fairmont Uptown Kiwanis. The meal will consist of chicken tacos, Doritos, homemade applesauce, homemade cookies and bars and lemonade. After the meal, there will be church tours at 6:30 p.m. and a dance party for grades K-6 from 7-9 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Pokemon Card Club Thursday at Fairmont Library

Join library staff for an all ages Pokemon Card Club beginning 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at the Fairmont Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. Bring your cards or borrow some of theirs. There is no cost to attend and no registration is needed. For questions, call the library at (507) 238-4207.
