Ruby’s Pantry plans distribution

Ruby’s Pantry will hold a food distribution from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at the East Chain Evangelical Free Church, located at 507 280th Ave., rural East Chain. This will be conducted in a drive-through process. Participants will not have to get out of their cars. Participants are also asked to clean out the trunk of their vehicle prior to the event. There are no income or residency guidelines. Ruby’s Pantry is funded by the $25 cash donation per participant for operational costs. Knights of Columbus plan Sunday pork loin meal

Fairmont Knights of Columbus will hold a grilled pork loin dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, at the KC Hall located at 920 E. 10th St. in Fairmont. This is a fundraiser for St Vincent de Paul Society which helps people in need in Martin and Faribault Counties. Cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children, ages 6-12, while kids, 5 and under, are free. Take-outs are also available. The support of the community is greatly appreciated.

Trimont Sundaes in the Park this weekend

The last Trimont Sundaes in the Park for the 2024 season is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, at Triumph Memorial Park in Trimont. Entertainment will feature the Fett Brothers. Bring your lawn chair and get an awesome sundae. Donations are appreciated for the sundaes. The concert is free. Everyone is invited.
