Adult project event Monday at Fairmont Library

Come and join library staff for Collages for Adults starting 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, at the Fairmont Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. Design a creative collage project with paper to take home. This program is for adults and all supplies are provided. There is no cost to attend and no need to register. With questions, call the library at (507) 238-4207.

Extreme Tour event next Wednesday in Fairmont

Extreme Tour, a diverse community of creatives, poets and musicians, artists and athletes, advocates and activists, performers and communicators of all kinds, will hold an event starting 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, at Gomsrud Park in Fairmont. They partner with community groups and clubs, civic organizations, churches, schools and institutions, etc., to work charitably to meet the needs of the disenfranchised and underserved. Their team members and partners have been on a mission to use their gifts, skills and abilities to bring love, hope, unity and vital resources to people in need. Everyone is welcome to attend.
