East Chain church plans coffee party

East Chain United Methodist Church will host its monthly community coffee party from 8:30-11 a.m. Saturday, July 13, at the church in East Chain. They will serve rolls, coffee, tea and juice. Free will offering. Everyone is welcome.

Church on the Lawn in East Chain

“Church on the Lawn” services will be held beginning 10:30 a.m. Sunday, July 14, at East Chain Evangelical Free Church, located three miles east of the village of East Chain. The speaker will be Ben Fox, pastor of East Chain Ev. Free Church. The service includes live band worship, bible teaching and wonderful kids program. Prior to the service, donuts and coffee will be served at 10 a.m. Bring your lawn chair and a friend. The public is welcome. In case of inclement weather, they will meet inside the church.

Mini Monday at the Fairmont Library

Join library staff for Mini Monday beginning 10 a.m. Monday, July 15, at the Martin County Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. This program is for kids, ages newborn to age 5, with an adult caregiver. Enjoy stories, songs and play time. There is no cost to attend this program and registration is not required.

Ruby’s Pantry slated Monday in Sherburn

Ruby’s Pantry will be held Monday, July 15, at the Regional Worship Center, 2 Crossroads Drive in Sherburn. Distribution will begin around 5:30 p.m. and continue until 7 p.m. This will be a drive-through distribution again. Limited pre-pay is available by going to rubyspantry.org and find the express track link. You can pre-pay until noon the day before the distribution. Participants are asked to stay in their vehicles, as volunteers will load bundles of food into trunks. (Please have trunks emptied out so workers can put the items directly in there). Please do not bring any containers. There will be a worker at the beginning of the line to collect the $25. No income or residency requirements. There will be a partial list of distributed items this weekend on their Facebook page at Ruby’s Pantry-RWC-Sherburn. Martin County DFL sets Monday picnic

The Martin County Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) family potluck picnic will be held 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, July 15, in the shelter house at Gomsrud Park in Fairmont.
