Service Club cancels Tuesday meeting

The Fairmont Service Club will not be meeting on Tuesday, July 2, due to the Fourth of July holiday next week. They will resume their meetings on July 9.

3M employees to meet

3M employees, past and present, will meet for lunch noon Tuesday, July 2, at the Green Mill Restaurant in Fairmont.

Class of 1961 to lunch

Fairmont High School class of 1961, spouses and friends will meet for lunch 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, at the Pizza Ranch in Fairmont. All classmates are encouraged to attend.

City Band to perform Thursday concert

The Fairmont City Band will perform their 4th summer concert of the season beginning 8 p.m. Thursday, July 4, at the band shell in Sylvania Park in Fairmont. This will be the annual patriotic concert. There will be NO concert on Tuesday, July 2. If rain forces cancellation of the July 4th concert, they will perform the patriotic music on Tuesday July 9.The band will perform marches, show tunes and standard concert band literature. Interlaken Heritage Days Committee will again be operating the concession stand on concert nights. A variety of items will be for sale with proceeds going toward expenses for IHD activities. City Band is always looking for new members. If you have completed the 10th grade please consider joining them. There are no tryouts or auditions. Rehearsals begin at 6 p.m. In case of rain both rehearsal and concert will be cancelled.
