Early Risers set Wednesday meeting

Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet for breakfast and an informative talk at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. Featured speaker will be Sandy Soelter from Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) for Fairmont Area Schools. The public is invited to come for breakfast and hear a captivating talk from Sandy.

Mobile Sign Shop at the Fairmont Library

Join library staff for a mobile sign shop experience at either 1 p.m., 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, at the Martin County Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. This event is for adults and pre-registration is required as space is limited. Come and design and make a sign for your home. There is no cost to attend this event. This program is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant provided by the Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

Ruby’s Pantry plans distribution

Ruby’s Pantry will hold a food distribution from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, June 22, at the East Chain Evangelical Free Church, located at 507 280th Ave., rural East Chain. This will be conducted in a drive-through process. Participants will not have to get out of their cars. Participants are also asked to clean out the trunk of their vehicle prior to the event. There are no income or residency guidelines. Ruby’s Pantry is funded by the $25 cash donation per participant for operational costs.
