Martin Luther to host Model Rocket Camp next week

A Science Rocket Camp, for students grade 6 and up and adults, will be held 6-9 p.m. June 17-20 at Martin Luther Jr/Sr High School in Northrop. Class size is limited. Those who attend will build three rockets in four nights. Please dress appropriately as the class will be outdoors. Instructor will be Nate Watt. Cost is $25. Please register and pay online at www.martinlutherhs.com under Special Events Camps. The camp instructor will be Nate Watt.

Andrew Johnson of Fairmont received High Honors for academic achievement during the 2024 spring semester at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in Green Bay, Wis.

Macey Bearson of Fairmont was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester of the 2023-2024 academic year at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Madison, Wis.

Mataya Bair of Winnebago was named to the dean’s list for the 2023 winter term/May term at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.

Kambria Steinhaus of Fairmont was named to the dean’s list for the 2024 spring semester at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wis.

Andrew Theobald of Sherburn recently graduated and was awarded a bachelor’s degree in management following the 2024 spring semester at the University of Minnesota Crookston in Crookston, Minn.

Blake Haugen of Fairmont was named to the dean’s list for the 2024 spring semester at the University of Wisconsin-Superior in Superior, Wis.

The following area students were named to the dean’s list for the 2024 spring semester at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa: Fairmont — Thomas Klanderud, Bryn Miller, Sara Sundblad, Libby Totzke, Anna Utermarck.
