Class of 1960 to lunch
Fairmont High School class of 1960, spouses and friends, will meet for lunch 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, at the Pizza Ranch in Fairmont.
Service Club to meet Tuesday
The Fairmont Service Club will hold its next weekly meeting noon Tuesday, June 4, at the Best Western in Fairmont. Featured speakers will be Tom Gallage and Ron Kallheim of Let’s Go Fishing – Fairmont Area Chapter. Guests are always welcome. With questions, call Lorin Pollock at (507) 230-4800.
Upcoming summer kid’s events at MC libraries
Free books for all kids. Stop by your library starting the first week of June and receive a free book to keep (While supplies last).
• Join library staff for weekly storytimes at our branch libraries: 3 p.m. Wednesdays at Trimont Library, 3 p.m. Wednesdays at Truman Library and 3:30 p.m. Thursdays at Sherburn Library. Storytimes begin the week of June 3 and continue through the end of July. There is no cost to attend the storytimes and no registration is required.
• Summer bingo will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, at the Fairmont Library. Come and play all-ages picture bingo to help kick off summer.
• Boredom Busters will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesdays beginning June 11 through the end of July at the Sherburn Library. Join Becky for the fun.
Chubb House holds Wednesday coffee
The public is invited to join Chubb House committee members for coffee and treats beginning 10 a.m. every Wednesday morning at the Chubb House, 209 Lake Ave. in Fairmont. Stop by each Wednesday and appreciate one of Fairmont’s historical treasures.

Grace Heille and Mandy Pytleski, both of Fairmont, were named to the dean’s list for the 2024 spring semester at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wis.
