Farmers Market in Trimont to start summer season
Trimont Farmer’s Market will begin its summer season from 2:30-5:30 p.m. this Friday, May 31, at Anderson Park in Trimont, and will continue each week on Fridays through September. There will be a variety of vendors and coffee and goodies will be available for a free will donation as usual. They will be planting pollinator gardens at the park on Friday and maintaining them through the summer. For more information, contact Karin Carlson at (507) 340-7453 or Kris Fuller at (507) 848-5732. Please note that Highway 4 between Sherburn, Trimont and St. James is closed so follow detour signs.
Church on the Lawn in East Chain
“Church on the Lawn” services will start up again beginning 10:30 a.m. Sunday, June 2, at East Chain Evangelical Free Church, located three miles east of the village of East Chain. The service includes live band worship, bible teaching and wonderful kids program. Prior to the service, donuts and coffee will be served at 10 a.m. Bring your lawn chair and a friend. The public is welcome. In case of inclement weather, they will meet inside the church.

Alyssa Lutz and Samantha Meyer, both of Fairmont, were named to the dean’s list for the 2024 spring semester at the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, S.D.
