Red Rock to host Memorial Day picnic

Red Rock Center for the Arts will host their annual Memorial Day Picnic and Family Fun Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, May 27. Indoors enjoy pulled pork sandwiches or hot dog meal and patriotic songs by Fairmont elementary students and Steve Lang’s Country Show. Outdoor activities for kids include a petting zoo, face painting, balloon twisting, barrel rides, crafts and more.

Church plans free meal on Wednesday

First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fairmont will offer a free community meal beginning 5:30 p.m. until the food is gone on Wednesday, May 29, at their church located at 319 Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. The church Facilities Board will serve the meal consisting of hotdogs, baked beans, chips, cookies and water. Everyone is welcome.

Community worship Wednesdays in Fairmont

Grace Lutheran Church of Fairmont will host community worship from 6:30-7 p.m. each Wednesday through Sept. 4, in the bandshell at Sylvania Park in Fairmont. They will have a live worship band along with messages of faith and hope from area pastors and community members. In case of rain, they will hold this service in the shelter house at Sylvania Park. Everyone is welcome.
