Early Risers set Wednesday meeting

Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet for breakfast and an informative talk at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. Featured speaker will be Doug Hilgendorf from Wholegrain Milling of Welcome. The public is invited to come for breakfast and hear a captivating talk from Doug.

Fairmont Library to host mosaic art classes

Create your own mosaic flower art at this special event at the Fairmont Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. Registration is required. Classes will be held 5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2 or 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, May 3. Thursday’s class is full, but a wait list is available. Each class is three hours and you will make a mosaic to take home. This program is for adults. To register, call the library at (507) 238-4207. This program is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant provided by the Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

IHD plans Saturday vendor show

The Interlaken Heritage Days Spring Craft & Vendor Show will be held 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at the Fairmont Armory. There will be over 35 direct sales vendors, hand crafters and artisans in attendance. It will be a great time to find unique Mother’s Days, Father’s Day, bridal shower and wedding gifts. The IHD committee will be serving breakfast and lunch to help fundraise for the 2024 festival.
