Red Rock plans lunch event today

Al Batt, avid birder and well-known naturalist, will speak at the Lunch with the Arts program to begin noon today, April 9, at the Red Rock Center for the Arts, 222 E. Blue Earth Ave. in Fairmont. Batt writes humor and nature columns for many newspapers and does regular radio shows about nature. Come listen and learn while he shares some of his comical stories. Bring a sack lunch if desired. Coffee and bars will be available. This is free. Everyone is welcome.

Early Risers set Wednesday meeting

Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet for breakfast and an informative talk at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. Featured speaker will be Matt York, Fairmont City Engineer. The public is invited to come for breakfast and hear a talk from Matt.

Martin Luther to hold spring rummage and bake sale

The Spring Rummage and Bake Sale will be held April 11-13 in the gymnasium at Martin Luther Jr/Sr High School in Northrop. Sale hours are 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 11, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, April 12 and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 13. Volunteer help is most appreciated for set-up and sorting pre-sale, operation during the sale, and with take-down. Come when you can and enjoy the fun. Donations of spring and summer clothing in good condition, shoes, furniture, household items, books, toys, miscellaneous items and baked goods are welcome from through today, April 9 prior to the opening of the sale. Aktion Club Theatre meets Thursday

Aktion Club Theatre, a part of Kiwanis International, will meet 4:30-6 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at Grace Lutheran Church, 300 S. Grant St. in Fairmont. Any questions about the group, please call Pat Kietzer at (507) 848-5017.

Geography Trivia at Fairmont Brewery

Join library staff as the Martin County Library hosts Geography Trivia beginning 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at the Fairmont Brewing Company. Work solo or in pairs to see who knows the most. There is no cost to attend and registration is not required. Drinks are available for purchase at the event.

Cemetery Association sets annual meeting

Center Creek Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting 9 a.m. Saturday, April 13, at Granada City Hall in Granada. Everyone is welcome to attend.
