Prairie Star Quilters to hold meeting

Prairie Star Quilt Guild will hold its next meeting Monday, April 8, at Fairmont Evangelical Covenant Church, 901 Woodland Ave., Fairmont. The quilt board will meet at 12:30 p.m., followed by a general membership meeting at 1:30 p.m. This month’s program will be a questionnaire with discussion. Sew and share will follow the meeting. Bubble wrap painting for disabled adults at Fairmont Library

Join library staff for bubble wrap painting, designed for adults with disabilities, beginning 1 p.m. Monday, April 8 at the Fairmont Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. There is no cost to attend and registration is not required. For questions, call the library at (507) 238-4207.

Fraud prevention at Jackson County libraries

Join library staff at the Jackson County Library System to hear fraud analyst, Stacie Wolter from Bank Midwest, present all the latest fraud trends and red flags in the finance industry that will help identify scams. The free monthly adult program will be held Wednesday, April 10, beginning noon at the Jackson Library, 2 p.m. at the Lakefield Library and 5:30 p.m. at the Heron Lake Library.
