American Legion Auxiliary plans Tuesday meeting

American Legion Auxiliary Unit 36 of Fairmont will meet 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, at 300 Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. All those interested are encouraged to attend.

Class of 1961 to lunch

Fairmont High School class of 1961, spouses and friends will meet for lunch 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, at the Pizza Ranch in Fairmont. All classmates are encouraged to attend.

Garden Club plans Wednesday meeting

City of Lakes Garden Club of Fairmont will meet next at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, at 107 Homewood Drive in Fairmont. Note: Please enter using the basement door (no steps) at the side of the driveway. Visitors and new members are always welcome, but please call or text Leslie Walkowiak at (651) 895-6578 ahead of time to RSVP your attendance. There will be a business meeting followed by an informative report. Our overall theme for this year is Methods of Gardening/Visitors to the Garden. April’s topic will be Methods of Gardening “Miniature Pond Gardening.” The purpose of the organization is to encourage all forms of horticulture in the home and community. Meetings are open to visitors and new members but please RSVP your attendance to Leslie so adequate accommodations can be made. South Central Gobblers set membership banquet

South Central Minnesota gobblers chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation will hold its 24th annual membership banquet Saturday, April 6 at the Best Western in Fairmont. Social will begin 5 p.m. and the dinner will be held 7 p.m. The cost is $50 for a single, $75 for couples and $25 for JAKES. They will have a live and silent auction as well as a raffle-gun bash.
