Service Club to meet Tuesday

The Fairmont Service Club will hold its next weekly meeting noon Tuesday, March 26, at the Best Western in Fairmont. Featured speaker will be Chad Lutterman owner of “Lawn Solutions Inc. Guests are always welcome. With questions, call Lorin Pollock at (507) 230-4800.

Church plans free meal on Wednesday

First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fairmont will offer a free community meal beginning 5:30 p.m. until the food is gone Wednesday, March 27, at their church located at 319 Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. The church Christian Education Board will serve the meal consisting of spaghetti, salad, breadsticks, cookies and beverages. Everyone is welcome.

CER to offer upcoming community activity

Fairmont Community Education & Recreation (CER) will offer an upcoming community activity. Techniques To Activate Your Brain’s Creativity Center, will be held 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, online via Zoom. Learn the many things you can do to tap into your brain’s creativity center. They’ll discuss and do ancient breathing patterns to activate the right side of your brain where creativity lives. They’ll do acupressure points that offer instant clarity and calm. You’ll learn the energy medicine technique called ‘Thumping’ to activate creative centers as well as how colors play a role in brain function. You’ll leave class with a bunch of new tools to help you be your best before endeavoring on any creative activity. The fee is $29. Registration closes March 29.
