Library to hold events this week

Martin County Library in Fairmont will hold 2 events later this week. First, join library staff for a Shamrock craft event designed for adults with disabilities beginning 1 p.m. Friday, March 15, at the Fairmont Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. There is no cost to attend and registration is not required. Also, join library staff for Leprechaun training from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 16, at the Fairmont Library. The fun will include games, an obstacle course, shamrock wands and more. There is no cost to attend and registration is not required. For questions, call the library at (507) 238-4207.

Vendor and craft show Saturday in Fairmont

A spring vendor and craft show will be held 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 301 N. Main St. in Fairmont. There will be 30+ vendors on hand. Proceeds will be split between former vendor, Deb Smith, who has stage-4 cancer and Healing Hearts Recovery for Women in Sherburn. Free will donation for breakfast and lunch. Everyone is welcome.

March free meal Sunday at SJV

St. John Vianney will be serving their free March meal beginning 5 p.m. Sunday, March 17. All are invited to join them for a delicious dinner at St. John Vianney Church, 901 S. Prairie Ave., Fairmont. If you are unable to join them in person due to lack of transportation, please let them know so they can see about delivering a meal to you. Please call (507) 235-2451 with your name and address no later than 12 p.m. Friday, March 15.

Genesis Academy sets open houses next week

Genesis Classical Academy invites interested parents, grandparents and community members

to visit the school during open houses on Tuesday, March 19, and Thursday, March 21, at the campus at 620 1st Ave. SW in Winnebago. Tours will be given each day at 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m.
