Early Risers set Wednesday meeting

Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet for breakfast and an informative talk at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. Featured speaker will be Sam Viesselman, one of the four recipients of the 4 under 40 program in Martin County. The public is invited.

Aktion Club Theatre meets Thursday

MN Author, Jeremy Norton, at the Fairmont Library

Jeremy Norton will speak about his book, “Trauma Sponges” beginning 6 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at the Fairmont Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. Jeremy was a Minnesota-based first responder for 22 years and his book shares stories from that time. There is no cost to attend and no registration is required.

Alpha church to host Sunday meal

Hungry for homemade ice cream? Trinity Lutheran Church in Alpha will have a lunch meal from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday, March 17, at the church located at 225 Main St., Alpha. They will serve chicken dumpling soup, chicken wild rice soup, chili, ham sandwiches, cookies, bars and homemade ice cream with toppings. This is a free will offering. Proceeds will be used to support local charities and mission projects. Everyone is welcome.
