Early Risers set Wednesday meeting

Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet for breakfast and an informative talk at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. Featured speaker will be Crystal Hanson who will talk about the topic of mental health. The public is invited.

Huntley church to hold Wednesday supper

Community Covenant Church of Huntley will hold a community supper from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, at the church located at 31323 170th St. in Huntley. They will serve Sloppy Joes, macaroni and cheese, veggie tray, chips and a leprechaun surprise dessert. Take-outs are available by calling the church. A free-will offering for the meal is suggested. Leather earrings class Thursday at Fairmont Library

Join library staff for a Leather Earrings class beginning 6 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at the Fairmont Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. Design and make your own pair of leather earrings to take home. This program is for adults and does require registration, as space is limited. There is no cost to attend. This program is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant provided by the Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund. CER to offer upcoming community activity

Fairmont Community Education & Recreation (CER) will offer an upcoming community activity. Just Breathe – Techniques to Calm, Center and Balance will be held 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, March 11, online via Zoom. Breathing in specific ways can have amazing and powerful healing benefits on mind and body. Breath work is a single most powerful thing you can practice for improving energy levels, health and wellbeing. In this workshop, you will learn ancient breathing exercises that will: neutralize stress by reprogramming your nervous system; increase energy and vitality; increase brain function; improve immune response; decrease depression and anxiety; and actually help strengthen your back and abs from the inside out. The simplest and most powerful technique for optimum health of mind and body is absolutely free and literally right under your nose. The fee is $29. Registration closes March 7.
