3M employees, past and present, will meet for lunch noon Tuesday, Feb. 6, at the Green Mill Restaurant in Fairmont.
Garden Club sets Wednesday meeting
City of Lakes Garden Club of Fairmont will hold its next meeting 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, in room 117 at Fairmont United Methodist Church, 119 E. 2nd St. in Fairmont. Note to members that this is a change of location from the previously published schedule. Parking is available in the 3rd St. municipal parking lot next to the church or on-street parking. There will be a business meeting followed by a presentation on Methods of Gardening — “How to Make Leaf Mold and Why it is Good for Your Garden.” The purpose of the organization is to encourage all forms of horticulture in the home and community. Meetings are open to visitors and new members but please RSVP your attendance to Leslie so adequate accommodations can be made.
