Fairmont Service Club meets Tuesday
Fairmont Service Club will hold its meeting at noon Tuesday at the Fairmont Best Western hotel. The speaker will be Chuck Anderson speaking about Fairmont’s trails & amenities. The public is welcome to attend. Call Lorin Pollock at (507) 230-4800 for any information.
Elementary Concerts will be Thursday
Fairmont Elementary School K-2 Christmas Concerts will be Thursday at the Fairmont Elementary Main Gym. Kindergarten 9:30 a.m., 2nd Grade Noon and 1st Grade 1:15 p.m.
Genesis Classical Academy
Students in Grades 5 through 12 will be presenting Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, with performances on Thursday December 14 at 7 pm, and Saturday December 16 at 2 pm at Hope United Methodist Church, 12080 380th Ave, Blue Earth. The production is directed by Mrs. Ellen Germain and Mrs. Judy Ness. This classic holiday tale is adapted by Kevin P. Kern and licensed through Eldridge Publishing Company, with the singing of traditional Christmas carols underscoring the story. There is no charge for the performances, but due to limited seating, pre-registration for A Christmas Carol will be required. Members of the public will be able to register by calling Genesis Classical Academy's office at 507-893-3600 beginning November 28, 2023. A free will offering to offset the costs of the production will be gratefully accepted.
Free Community Meal Wednesday
First Congregational UCC, 319 Downtown Plaza, will be serving a Free Community Meal 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 29th. Serving until the food is gone. Menu: turkey commercials, veggies, pumpkin bars & beverages. ALL are Welcome.
Holiday Concert an the Fairmont Library
Join us at 6:30 p.m. Thursday for a holiday concert by Andrea Lyn. Lyn is a singer-songwriter whose music has been featured on MPR and The Current. There is no cost to attend and no registration is needed.
