Fairmont Marching Bands to hold concert
Fairmont Marching Bands will present an Indoor Marching Band Concert, 7 p.m. Monday, in the Performing Arts Center. Groups performing are the Junior High Band and the grades 9-12 Cardinal Marching Band. They will perform a variety of pep and marching band music. Also, after the concert in the PAC, the Fairmont Band Boosters will be serving $1 root beer floats in the Commons while the Senior High Jazz Band performs.
Great Puzzle Race for Kids at the Truman Library
Kids, get ready to join the puzzle race 5 p.m. Tuesday. See who can put together a puzzle the fastest. Let Theresa at the library know if you’re interested in participating. There is no cost for this event.
Boredom Busters at the Fairmont Library
Join us 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fairmont Library for this school’s out event. Bust out of boredom with a variety of fun activities for grades K-6. There is no cost to attend this event and no need to register.
Manga Drawing Event for Teens
Join us 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fairmont Library for a manga drawing event for teens. Watch a virtual manga class and try your hand at drawing. All supplies are provided, there is no cost to attend and no need to register.
Fairmont Service Club holds weekly meeting
The Fairmont Service Club will meet at noon, Tuesday at the Fairmont Best Western. The speaker will be military historian Kurt Barickman speaking about Guadalcanal during 1942 – 1943. Guests are always welcome. Any questions, call Lorin Pollock, (507) 230-4800.
