Storytime event slated Thursday at the library

Join library staff for a lapsit storytime beginning 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at the Martin County Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. This program is for children, ages birth to 2, and an adult caregiver. Spend quality time and share a love of books with a little reader. There is no cost to attend and no need to register. 'Coats for the Community' planned Oct. 14

Do you need a winter coat or gloves, mittens or a hat? The Area Disability Providers Group, in partnership with Twelve Baskets in Fairmont, will be providing winter wear at no cost from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 14, in front of Twelve Baskets on Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. Find clothing items to stay warm this winter. All sizes and styles of children and adult gently-used winter wear will be available at no cost. The are no eligibility requirements. This event is sponsored by the Area Disability Provider's Group, with members including: Arc, COR, People First, REM Heartland and STEP, Inc. Everyone is welcome.

Martin Luther sponsors couples event

Everyone is invited to attend “Marriage Date Night” starting 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Fairmont Opera House in Fairmont. The event is presented by Extreme Faith Productions and sponsored by Martin Luther Jr/Sr High School in Northrop. The evening will be a night of laughter, music, and enrichment designed for couples.
