Play Café Tuesday at Fairmont Library

Play Café, for children newborn to age 5 and their caregivers, will meet 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, at the Martin County Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. Fairmont High School class of 1960, spouses and friends, will meet for lunch 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, at the Pizza Ranch in Fairmont. All classmates are encouraged to attend.

People First to meet Tuesday

People First will hold their monthly meeting from 4-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3,

at the Pizza Ranch in Fairmont. Reanna Milbrett from The Arc of Minnesota will speak to the group about disability justice. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. Anybody that has questions about this self-advocacy group can call Pat Kietzer at (507) 848-5017.

BEA to hold conferences Tuesday

Parent-student-teacher conferences for Blue Earth Area High School students in grades 8-12 will be held virtually and in-person from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3. Students and parents can use the link ‘Conferences Sign Up’ for times to meet with teachers. Please be sure to indicate whether you will be attending virtually or in person when you sign up. Teachers will be located in their classrooms. Students are encouraged to attend conferences along with their parents, or alone if parents are unable to attend. The entire staff and administration want to encourage attendance because parent-student-teacher conferences make a big difference in the academic success of each student. Mrs. Lindsey, the BEA School Counselor, will host a virtual presentation about College and Career Planning from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, via Google Meet.
