Early Risers set Wednesday meeting
Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. Featured speaker will be Courtney Logwood, Tara Eisenmenger and Peter Engstrom, from the Human Rights Committee and will talk about the history of the human rights commission in Fairmont and what actions the committee is working on today in Fairmont. The public is invited.

A bridal shower for Diana Evans, bride-to-be of James Rabe, will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at Fairmont Christian Church, 625 Johnson St. in Fairmont. All family and friends are cordially invited.
CER to offer upcoming community activity
Fairmont Community Education & Recreation (CER) will offer an upcoming community activity. The Art of De-Aging: Peel Years Off Your Biological Age class will be held 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, online via Zoom. Your chronological age is the number of years you have been alive. It's a fixed number and cannot be changed. Your biological or body age, however, is measured by how well all of your organs and body systems work. And there are many things you can do to affect your biological age. You have more control over how your body ages than you may think. Research has shown us that you can peel years off your bio age. In this workshop, you will learn simple, scientifically proven things you can do right now to decrease your body age. Also, you will learn facial acupressure points to help erase years from your face naturally by increasing muscle tone, decreasing puffiness and eye bag. Reduce lines and prevent new lines from forming. Help yourself look better, feel younger and age with health and vigor. The fee is $29. Registration closes Sept. 28.
