Service Club to hold Tuesday meeting

Fairmont Service Club will meet noon Tuesday, Sept. 19, in the conference room at Profinium Bank in Fairmont. Note the change of venue. Play Café Tuesday at Fairmont Library

Play Café, for children newborn to age 5 and their caregivers, will meet 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, at the Martin County Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. Alpha church to host pie social

Trinity Lutheran Church in Alpha will host its annual pie social from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, at the church located at 225 Main St., Alpha. Besides the many homemade pies, the menu will include pulled pork sandwiches, homemade potato salad, chips, homemade pickles, homegrown tomatoes and beverages. This is a free will offering. Proceeds will be used to support local charities and organizations. Everyone is welcome.

Spice of Life meeting Thursday in Fairmont

CREST’s “Spice of Life” program is where persons living with Alzheimer’s/Dementia and their caregivers come together with others and enjoy a fun time. This month’s activity will a creative activity with apples. Spice of Life will take place 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at the CREST office, located at 820 Winnebago Ave. in Fairmont. There is no charge for this event, but RSVP’s are encouraged by calling (507) 235-3833. Hope to see you there.

Kislingbury celebration next weekend at Red Rock

A celebration of the life of Mary Don Kislingbury will be held 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, at the Red Rock Center, 222 E. Blue Earth Ave. in Fairmont. Her family would like to joyfully celebrate her life and the wonderful friends and community she has dearly loved all these years. All are welcome to come and celebrate with them.
