East Chain class of 1962 plans reunion

East Chain class of 1962 will hold their class reunion 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 25, at the Pizza Ranch, Fairmont. All classmates are encouraged to attend.

Family Bingo Friday at the Fairmont Library

Join library staff for family picture bingo starting 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, at the Fairmont Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. There is no cost to attend and no registration is required.

Ruby’s Pantry plans distribution

Ruby’s Pantry will hold a food distribution from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at the East Chain Evangelical Free Church, located at 507 280th Ave., rural East Chain. This will be conducted in a drive-through process. Participants will not have to get out of their cars. Participants are also asked to clean out the trunk of their vehicle prior to the event. There are no income or residency guidelines. Ruby’s Pantry is funded by the $25 cash donation per participant for operational costs. Trimont Sundaes in the Park features Fett Brothers

Closing out the 2023 season and 24 years of Sundaes in the Park, The Fett Brothers and Family will offer a special style of music for all generations beginning 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, at Memorial Park in Trimont. Help celebrate with an ice cream sundae topped with caramel, chocolate, strawberries and/or nuts to make your evening an enjoyable time. Bring your lawn chair and friends. In case of rain, the event will be held at Covenant Church in Trimont.
