Heart Song at the Fair

Heart Song will be playing 4:30 p.m. today, Aug. 18, in the park at the Martin County Fairgrounds, Fairmont.

Center Creek Club sets shooting event

Center Creek Club in Huntley will hold a Travel Club trap shoot event noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, at the club located a half-mile east of Huntley. They will be shooting practice rounds, then 16-yard and 25-yard targets. There will also be a travel trap shooting event in September at the Fairmont Trap Club. Chair Fitness for Adults at the Fairmont Library

Join library staff for chair fitness starting 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, at the Fairmont Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. This low impact exercise class will allow you to remain seated while following along with the class on our large video screen. There is no cost to attend and registration is not required.

Historical Society offers Tuesday program

A PowerPoint presentation entitled “Towns of Martin County” will be shown 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, at the Pioneer Museum in Fairmont. There is no charge. The public is invited to attend.

Jr. Book Club Wednesday at Fairmont Library

Join library staff for a junior book club beginning 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, at the Fairmont Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. Stop and check out a copy of “The Wild Robot” and read it before the club meets. This book is geared for ages 8-12. There is no cost to attend and registration is not required.
