Red Rock to hold Saturday open house

Red Rock Center for the Arts will host a community open house and member appreciation from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at 222 E. Blue Earth Ave. in Fairmont. A violin duet will take place at 3 p.m. A visual art display, make and takes, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and wine and beer will be served. Everyone is welcome.

Church on the Lawn in East Chain

"Church on the Lawn" service will be held beginning 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, at East Chain Evangelical Free Church, located three miles east of the village of East Chain. The speaker will be Pastor Ben Fox, relevant Bible teacher and life coach. The service includes live band worship, bible teaching and wonderful kids program. Prior to the service, donuts and coffee will be served at 10 a.m. Also, join them for lunch as they will be serving Whitman’s pulled pork. Bring your lawn chair and a friend. The public is welcome. In case of inclement weather, the service will be indoors.

Lemke reunion to be held Sunday

The annual Lemke family reunion will be held with a noon meal Sunday, Aug. 13, at Amber Lake Park, Fairmont. Those attending are asked to bring their own eating utensils and a dish to pass. All family and friends are invited. The annual reunion for the family is held the second Sunday in August.

CREST Lunch & Learn Monday in Fairmont

Getting older can sometimes be very scary with all the different details that need to be addressed. Wouldn't it be nice if there was one place that could answer all your questions? The next CREST Lunch & Learn program will take place 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14, at the CREST office located at 820 Winnebago Ave. in Fairmont. This month's guest will be a representative from the Senior Linkage Line in Mankato. She will be informing those in attendance about the helpful resources that are available to area seniors. A lunch of barbecued ribs, summer salads and a peach dessert will be served following the presentation. Please RSVP the CREST office at (507) 235-3833 if you plan to attend. This activity is open to anyone in Martin County and a free-will donation is always welcome.
