Free community meals during HopeFest

As part of a two-day evangelistic event, HopeFest is hosting free meals for the community on Friday, July 21 and Saturday, July 22, at Sylvania Park, 401 Lake Ave. in Fairmont. On Friday evening, the meal will include barbecues, while Saturday's meal will be homemade spaghetti. Both meals will be served from 5-6:30 p.m. or until the food is gone. After each meal, everyone is invited to stay for praise and worship at the Sylvania band shell, which will start at 6:30 p.m.

On Friday, the featured music will be provided by Brendan Brooks, The Parkers, and Breakthrough. Brooks was one of the founders of the band Finding Fortress, but has focused on worship music in his solo career. The Parkers are a husband-and-wife duo from Elmore. Breakthrough is a six-piece progressive rock group who will be doing music from its worship album, The Highest Praise, a deviation from its usual style. On Saturday evening, Temple Veil, a national Christian contemporary music band which has toured with For King and Country and Steven Curtis Chapman, and Brendan Brooks will provide the worship experience. In addition, Dean Braxton will be sharing his testimony, an amazing story of life after death. Community members are encouraged to come for the meals and are invited to stay for praise and worship. The event hosts are planning on feeding 300 people. For more information, contact Jamie Kueker at (507) 230-3048 or check out the event at https://bit.ly/HopeFest23.
