Sportsman Club sets shooting event
East Chain Sportsman's Club will hold a trap shoot event beginning noon Sunday, July 16, at the club located a half-mile north of East Chain. They will be shooting practice rounds, then 16-yard and 25-yard Oakley's and Boondocks. The grill will be on all day. For more information, contact Moby at (507) 236-4189. Everyone is welcome.
Chair Fitness Tuesday at Fairmont Library
Join library staff for chair fitness for adults, beginning 2 p.m. Monday, July 17, at the Martin County Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. This low impact exercise class will allow you to remain seated while following along with the class on their large video screen. There is no cost to attend and registration is not required. Martin County Library summer storytimes
Join library staff at our branch libraries for summer story, craft and activity times. Stop by for Bored Game Day beginning 2:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Sherburn Library, and storytime at 3:30 p.m. on Thursdays. Visit the Trimont Library and the Truman Library at 3 p.m. on Wednesdays for stories and fun.

Owen Wolter of Granada was awarded an Associate of Applied Science degree in Agriculture and Precision Ag Track during a commencement ceremony held in May at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, Iowa.
