Early Risers set Wednesday meeting
Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. Featured speaker will be Mary Betts from Betts Believe Tutoring. The public is invited.
Community worship Wednesday at Sylvania Park
Enjoy some free Gran D’s popcorn, a treat, and beverage starting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, at Sylvania Park in Fairmont, before coming to an energetic and uplifting time of music and prayer, with a short, meaningful and relatable message. Community worship services this summer will be held 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday through August 30 with a different speaker from the community featured each week. Songs will be led by an energetic praise band. Rain location will be Grace Lutheran Church. Everyone is welcome.
Annual summer run slated July 29
Come out for the fourth annual Fairmont Summer Run coordinated by Fairmont CER and Fairmont Area Runners. Once again the headquarters for this year’s run is the field house at Fairmont High School. The races will be run on quiet streets and asphalt trails. All races will start and finish at the Bob Bonk Track at Fairmont High School. The 5-mile run starts at 8:30 a.m., the 2-mile run starts at 9:30 a.m., the 1/4 mile run (9 and under) starts at 10 a.m., the 1/2 mile run (13 and under) starts at 10:05 a.m. Awards ceremony at 10:15 a.m. Pre-registration closes at noon on Friday, July 28. Register with the CER by July 12th to receive a Dry Fit shirt. Call the CER office at (507) 235-3141.
Class of 1962 to meet
Fairmont High School class of 1962, spouses and friends, will meet for lunch 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 13, at the Pizza Ranch in Fairmont. All classmates are encouraged to attend.
Aktion Club Theatre meets Thursday
