Flea Market slated this weekend
The 158th annual Antique Show and Flea Market will be held 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 27 through Monday, May 29, at Vick's Corner, at the junction of Highway 9 and 86 in Spirit Lake, Iowa. East Chain plans Memorial Day program
The East Chain Memorial Association will hold its 2023 Memorial Day program Monday, May 29, at the East Chain Activity Center (former school building). Donuts, coffee and juice will be served beginning 8:45 a.m., with the program getting underway at 9:30 a.m. This year's speaker is Derick Milstead, U.S. Navy. Following the program, they will honor deceased veterans with the 4-H Honor wreath ceremony at the Pleasant Prairie Church Cemetery. All are invited to help honor our veterans.
CER to offer upcoming community activity
Fairmont Community Education & Recreation (CER) will offer an upcoming community activity. Metabolism Boosters and Busters class will be held 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, online via Zoom.
