Early Risers set Wednesday meeting
Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. Featured speaker will be Lenny Tvedten from the Martin County Historical Society who will talk about Martin County history. The public is invited.
Bake sale fundraiser Saturday
Martin County Humane Society bake sale fundraiser will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at Fleet & Farm Supply Ace Hardware Store, 1300 N. State St., Fairmont. Proceeds from the sale will help with expenses for the animals at the shelter in Fairmont. Everyone is welcome.
Kids clothing swap Saturday in Fairmont
Christian Church of Fairmont will host their third clothing swap from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 22, at the Christian Church of Fairmont located at 625 Johnson St. in Fairmont. Please come and bring your kids gently-used and clean old clothes that they no longer fit into, and pick up some new clothes for them. They are swapping spring and summer clothes, and also taking any sports equipment. Please don’t bring any heavy coats or winter gear, and no toys please. Bridal shower planned Saturday
A bridal shower for Hannah Olson, daughter of Randy and Lisa Olson of Fairmont and bride-to-be of Jakob Bruxvoort, son of Russ and Kerstin Bruxvoort of Fort Collins, Colo., will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 22, in the great hall at Bethel Evangelical Church, 1125 S. State Street in Fairmont. Family and friends are cordially invited.
