Sportsman Club sets shooting event
East Chain Sportsman's Club will hold an appreciation trap shoot event beginning noon Sunday, April 16, at the club located a half-mile north of East Chain. Free shoots all day. All shooters are always welcome. They will also be serving free barbecues and hotdogs for the shooters. Join them for a free day of trap shooting. Classic Movie Monday at Fairmont Library
Join library staff for the classic movie "Singing in the Rain" beginning 1 p.m. Monday, April 17, at the Martin County Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont.

Valley Quilters to meet Monday
The Blue Earth Valley Quilters will hold the April meeting of the 2022-2023 program year beginning 7 p.m. Monday, April 17, at Michele's Quilt Shop, 230 S. Main St. in Blue Earth. Please note change in meeting place. The meeting will start with introductions and show-and-tell. Details regarding the Faribault County Fair and the Quilt Expo in August will be discussed. This month, Michele will present a demonstration on using zippers in your sewing projects. There will be door prizes for those bringing show-and-tell. Historical Society offers Tuesday program
PowerPoint presentations entitled "Fairmont's Changing Businesses" and "Lost Towns of Martin County" will be shown 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, at the Pioneer Museum in Fairmont. There is no charge. The public is invited to attend.
Women's spring rally set Tuesday in Truman
Blue Earth Zone LWML Spring Rally will be held Tuesday, April 18, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Truman. Registration and a light supper will begin at 5 p.m. with the rally getting underway at 6 p.m. Rev. Craig McCourt will speak on a study of the book of Ephesians. Gifts from the Heart will be collected for Camp Omega. There is a registration fee of $5.
