Class of 1960 to lunch

Fairmont High School class of 1960, spouses, and friends will meet for lunch 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the Pizza Ranch in Fairmont. All classmates are encouraged to attend.

Legion Auxiliary sets Tuesday meeting

Fairmont American Legion Auxiliary Unit 36 will meet 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 300 Downtown Plaza, Fairmont. All members are encouraged to attend, as well as anyone who’s interested.

Upcoming celebration of life event planned

21st Annual Celebration of Life fundraiser for One Bright Star will be held 5-10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center, 1 Civic Center Plaza in Mankato, Minn. It’s a black-tie encouraged event and features social hour, dinner, live and silent auctions, and entertainment with the piano duo “Dueling Keys.” Tickets are $100 per person if purchased from Feb. 1 to Feb. 15. The core mission of One Bright Star is to be a resource to families who have lost a child to death. To this day, the organization has grown and become an invaluable tool for parents who have been thrust into the most horrific tragedy of their life. This is meant to celebrate the lives of children, draw attention to One Bright Star’s mission and to raise funds to support the nonprofit.
