CER to offer upcoming community activities

Fairmont Community Education & Recreation (CER) will offer two upcoming community activities. First, Home Court For grades 2-5, will be held 3-4 p.m. Wednesdays Jan. 4 to Feb. 22, at Fairmont Elementary School, 714 Victoria St. in Fairmont. In Home Court, the kids will learn and play a different gym game every day. They will play games that focus on strategy and teamwork. This will be a fun-filled after school activity for any kid who enjoys playing gym games. Some of the games to be introduced are Bunker Ball, Scooter, Hero Ball, Cheese and Taco, and more. The fee is $35. Registration closes Dec. 28. Also, Escape Game For grades 7-10, will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, Jan. 5, 10, 12, 17, and 19, at the Southern MN Educational Campus (SMEC) building, 115 S. Park St. in Fairmont. Join Escape Game and solve riddles, puzzles, and coded messages to try and escape in time. Each day a new escape room is created, and the group must work together (or separate) to try and be the first to escape and win. Snacks will be provided. Registration closes Dec. 29.
