Class of 1961 to lunch

Fairmont High School class of 1961, spouses and friends, will meet for lunch 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at the Pizza Ranch in Fairmont. All classmates are encouraged to attend.

55+ driver program scheduled Thursday

Minnesota Highway Safety Center will offer a 55+ Driver Discount Course this week. There will be a four-hour Refresher Course taught by a certified instructor from the Minnesota Highway Safety and Research Center from 1-5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, in the community education room (suite 131) at Southern Minnesota Educational Campus (SMEC), 115 Park St. in Fairmont. The fee is $24. The courses are open to the public; pre-registration is required. Craft for adults at the Fairmont Library

Adults are invited to make a Thankful Tree Craft beginning 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at the Martin County Library, 110 N Park St. in Fairmont. There is no cost to attend this program and all supplies are provided. No registration required for this event.

Soup luncheon fundraiser Friday at St. Martin’s

A soup luncheon fundraiser, that will benefit Arc Minnesota Southwest which helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community and surrounding areas, will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 102 N. Park St. in Fairmont. They will be serving six varieties of soup. If you cannot make it to the church, you may call (507) 238-2686 for a take-out order. They do not deliver. This is a Thrivent Action Team project. All support will be greatly appreciated.
