Stop the Bleed class at Fairmont Library

Mayo Clinic Health System is hosting two sessions of “Stop the Bleed” at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, at the Fairmont Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. This class is for persons, ages 10 and up, and will help you identify life threatening bleeding and how to intervene until EMS arrives. Call the library at (507) 238-4207 to register for a session.

Aktion Club Theatre to meet Thursday

Aktion Club Theatre, part of Kiwanis International, will meet 4:30-6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, in the basement of Grace Lutheran Church, 300 S. Grant St., in Fairmont. The public is invited to join any of the group’s theatrical practices. Those needing a ride or who have questions about the group may call Pat Kietzer at (507) 848-5017.

Vendor/craft sale Saturday in Granada

There will be a vendor/craft sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, in the gymnasium at Granada High School in Granada. This is also the weekend of city wide garage sales (watch for signs) around town. Some rummage sales will start earlier. Everyone is welcome to come out for some fall shopping.
