Borderline Cruisers plan car show

Borderline Cruisers Car Club will host its 30th annual Classic & Antique Car Show from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 11, on Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. Registration will be 9 a.m. to noon. Show registration costs $15. An awards presentation will be held at 3 p.m. Dash plaques will be given for the first 100 cars. There will be food and door prizes. All are welcome. Sundaes in the Park kicks off season

Trimont’s “Sundaes in the Park” is kicking off its summer season beginning 6 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at Memorial Park in Trimont, as the band will perform a variety of patriotic selections, some sacred pieces, and a tribute to John Williams movie music, which will be directed by alto sax player Jonathan Schrum.

The Trimont Centennial Band, under the direction of MCW band director, Parker Haug, is made up of 18-20 members from the surrounding area. Bring your lawn chair and join them for awesome music and ice cream sundaes with chocolate sauce, caramel sauce and/or strawberry toppings. A free will donation is always welcome. Everyone is invited.

Prairie Star Quilters to hold meeting

Prairie Star Quilt Guild will hold its next meeting Monday, June 13, at Fairmont Evangelical Covenant Church, 901 Woodland Ave., Fairmont. The quilt board will meet at 12:30 p.m., followed by a general membership meeting at 1:30 p.m. The activity for the month is a bus trip to the state quilt show on June 16.
