Service Club to hold meeting Tuesday

Fairmont Service Club will meet noon Tuesday, May 17, at the Best Western Hotel in Fairmont. The program this week will feature Brooke Wohlrabe, staff writer for the Sentinel newspaper in Fairmont. Spice of Life meeting set Thursday

CREST “Spice of Life” program is where persons living with Alzheimer’s/Dementia and their caregiver come together with others and enjoy a fun time. This month’s activity will center around spring planting. Spice of Life will take place 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 19, at the CREST office located at 820 Winnebago Ave. in Fairmont. There is no charge for this event, but please RSVP by calling (507) 235-3833.

Kinship slates rummage sale

Kinship Industrial Commercial Rummage Sale/Auction will be held May 19-21 in the Bank Midwest (industrial) building at the Martin County Fairgrounds in Fairmont. Hours for the rummage sale will be 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 19 and Friday, May 20 and from 8:30-11 a.m. for the Dutch auction on Saturday, May 21, where prices will be reduced every hour. Businesses, not households, are encouraged to bring unneeded used or unused items such as equipment, tools, materials, supplies, parts, fixtures and office equipment. Items can be accepted now by contacting Char Kahler at (507) 236-4606 or chark@kahlerautomation.com. or open delivery dates that are May 16-17. This event serves as a fundraiser to help Kinship kids and an opportunity for many businesses to clean out.
