CER to offer upcoming community activities

Fairmont Community Education & Recreation (CER) will offer three upcoming community activities. First, a Microsoft Word: Basic computer class will be held 6:15-9:15 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, and Tuesday, Feb. 8, in the CER classroom, Suite 131 in the SMEC building, 115 S. Park St. in Fairmont. Fee will be $89.

Next, a Dollars for Scholars class, for students needing assistance in creating their financial aid application, will be held 7-9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, in the media center at Fairmont Jr./Sr. High School. The class is FREE. Lastly, a Tee-Shirt Quilt Class will be held 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 8, 15 and 22, in the CER classroom, Suite 131 in the SMEC building, 115 S. Park St. in Fairmont. Alex Bertram of Fairmont graduated and was awarded a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology in December 2021 from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wis.
