Blue Christmas service planned Sunday
A community Blue Christmas service will be held 6:30 p.m. Sunday at First Congregational Church, 319 Downtown Plaza, in Fairmont. The Blue Christmas service is meant for people who are experiencing sadness and grief during the holiday season. It is a time to gather around and hear the good news of Jesus for people whose Christmas this year also includes sadness and loss. Area pastors have been invited to participate in the service. Pastor Cory Germain of the First Congregational Church and Pastor John Heille of Grace Lutheran Church worked together to coordinate the event. Everyone is welcome.
